From our studios in Yorkshire, for over 25 years we have designed classic yet contemporary knitwear individually made in 100% natural fibres. Selling to loyal and new customers all over the world.
Our garments are made by highly skilled knitters in their own homes, then returned to our studios for washing and hand finishing. Every Buttercup is therefore a unique, individually made purchase.
We take our inspiration from leaves, flowers and grasses of the English countryside, also ceramics and antique textiles which we enthusiastically collect.
Our customers treasure their 'Buttercups' for years, knowing they have not purchased a 'throw-away' garment. Our knitwear will always look stylish and be easy to look after.
Our knitwear is very easy to care for; wool has natural dirt repellant properties, so an occasional wash by hand or selected machine, with natural soap followed by a spin and a light steam press, will bring it up like new.
